El Cotillo

El Cotillo is a fishing village on the north west side of the island it is a nice quiet place with white painted buildings, although it is not so much a holiday resort but it attracts many people to visit the fish restaurants and beaches.Surfing windsurfing diving, sailing and sport sea fishing all take place off the spectacular beach to the left as you arrive in El Cotillo not far from the new harbor.
(Onit surf shop has now closed)If you are an experienced surfer you will properly be heading to a spot called bubbles by no means as innocent as it sounds it is is where the waves break over reefs and rocks and many a casualty can be seen limping around El Cotillo or Corralejo you will need to have your own transport to get here though.
